By this time tomorrow we’ll be, as the song says, leaving on a jet plane. Our bags are packed (well, mine is), passports are ready, and we’ve gone through our to-do lists too many times. I’m an over-planner, so the reality is that I’ve packed and re-packed multiple times. I’m even working on preventing jet lag by following steps recommended by the Timeshifter app. Right now I’m supposed to be getting as much light as possible, which means that today’s rainy and gray weather in Greenville is not ideal, but I’m doing what I can.
It’s hard to believe our trip is about to start. Seems like we just booked it yesterday, but at the same time the year has been flying by. I haven’t had much to report here, but so far this year I’ve taken a trip to Texas to see family, a trip to Fredericksburg for work, had a beach getaway to Kiawah in April, another work trip to Orlando (where I did get to see family), and S is a week into retirement.
I’ll share trip photos when I get back, but in the meantime here are a few from 2024 that I haven’t shared yet. Nothing spectacular, but I did get a few shots of the Aurora Borealis! Now it’s time to really start exploring!
