Back home in Panama City last March, I looked up and saw this latin phrase carved in stone on the walls of the Palacio Municipal: “Pro Populo et Civitate” which according to Google means “For the people and the city.” Maybe with the completion of the expansion of the Panama Canal, things will be looking up for everyone.
