It’s cloudy but mild today. It rained last night and we didn’t get the patio chair cushions inside in time. So they’re wet and since the sun isn’t shining all that brightly today it will take some time for them to dry. But the front porch is dry and I spent a few minutes on them this morning. While I was sitting there a woodpecker landed on a nearby tree, another large bird flew past, and squirrels labored industriously in the yard. I made a mental note to dig out my zoom lens and put it on my camera and come back out later to see if I have any luck finding the woodpecker again. I also noticed the beautiful flowers blooming in our yard. Since today’s photo challenge prompt is “just outside my house” I grabbed my phone and snapped a few pictures of them.
