Last weekend had a few firsts for me. I learned how to play backgammon Friday and both games were close! Granted, S gave me lots of tips and hints, so it probably would have been a blowout otherwise. But it was fun! The next morning we headed to the Saluda River for tubing! I know…not exactly a wild and thrilling activity, but again, something new to me.
This weekend we’re off to the beach for a few days. I have a massage scheduled for Saturday morning and then expect to spend a lot of time by the pool or on the beach. Last night I tried on last year’s bathing suits and got annoyed at myself. They still fit, but I wasn’t as happy with how I looked in them as I did before. It all goes back to the body image issues that I wrote about last time. Sigh.
Our house-hunting adventure is underway after looking at a few houses a couple of weeks ago. We’re moving slowly though. We still need to talk to a bank, so that’s a major step still. The next few months are going to be busy, so we end up putting this on pause. But I’m excited about the possibilities. So many adventures still out there!
