Music Fridays: Put Your Records On

I’m late to this party, but I’ve been tidying up and editing my home after watching every episode of Netflix’s show “Get Organized with The Home Edit,” “Tidying up with Marie Kondo” and “Sparking Joy.” So after cleaning out closets and the pantry and finding more than I expected to donate or trash, I then made a chicken pot pie with a homemade crust. I’m tired!

I’m noticing patterns that maybe everyone else has already picked up on, or maybe everyone else does the same thing. Watch, get inspired, get busy. Now if I could find a show about photography or writing …

This is a short work week for me as my weekend starts today. I’m on the road with my daughter as we continue the search for the perfect wedding dress, and then Saturday S and I are headed to Asheville for a quick getaway. I’m going to get a massage and then we get to enjoy some live music. We were going to go to a Joss Stone and Corinne Bailey Rae concert but unfortunately, Joss had to pull out of a few dates on this tour (including this one) after testing positive for COVID. The show must go on though so Corinne will carry the full load and we’re looking forward to it.

Whether you’re spending it cleaning, doing laundry, or running errands, I hope you find some time this weekend to do something fun. Put a record on, get out for a walk, or whatever sparks joy.
