I found Joy Oladokun on NPR’s list of best songs of 2020 and this song just seemed to work for this week’s selection.
I don’t have much to say about this week’s events in our capital that hasn’t been said so much better by others already. I’m embarrassed, ashamed, angry, disappointed, and shocked. 2021 is not off to an auspicious start. But there is hope by way of Georgia, where voters made history by electing the first Black Senator of their state and only the 11th elected to the Senate.
I hope the following weeks bring arrests of all those involved in Wednesday’s coup attempt, and then at last the removal of Trump from the White House, even if we have to wait until January 20.

Well said to all the situations in DC and yes, there is hope now coming from GA and the ousting of the current non-leader.
