In today’s Sunday Post I don’t have any wise words to share or thought-provoking questions, or even any frustrations to vent.
I would just like to share with you some photos I took at this weekend’s Senior Art Exhibition at Longwood University. You will see the proud artist standing in front of the display he composed for his senior project. You will see his friends, fellow students and professors, admiring not just his work but also the pieces on display by other art students. And you will finally see a very proud father.
While our creative efforts will not all end with a show in an art gallery, over the last year we have been working hard at establishing and encouraging an atmosphere where creativity and artistic endeavors can flourish. Whether it’s music, photography, writing, painting, or drawing, being able to express our thoughts, feelings, impressions and dreams on some kind of canvas is important. Do it as often as you can. Even if you’re the only one who will ever see it.
