I’ve taken a couple of trips in this first quarter of 2024. First I went to Texas where I met up with my siblings to celebrate my mother’s birthday, see her new home, and meet her significant other. It was great to spend time with my family. It had been way too long since we were all together. We cooked together, played games, spent a little bit of time sightseeing, but mostly did a lot of relaxing. Then earlier this month I flew up to Virginia to put in little face time at the office. The Virginia trip felt long but my time in the office was very busy; I managed to schedule a few too many meetings for myself. It was great to come home. April’s schedule is wide open right now (other than the poetry workshop I just signed up for) and then it will be May with one quick work trip to Florida and then we’re off to Spain!
