This week’s bloom take me back to the beach…. wish I was there right now. This week’s weather turned cool and rainy, probably because I was bragging about how nice it was. 🙂

I’m not sure I ever went to Taboga when I was 13 or 14. I don’t remember going with my family so my first time was probably in high school with this group of ladies right here. This same group of women (along with a couple others not in these pictures) is the same one that gave me all these blooms that I’ve been picking every week. Taboga is a little island in the Gulf of Panama. You can take a ferry and be there in less than an hour. It’s a great day trip and I wish I’d done it more often. Might have to add it to the itinerary for my next visit, although I would probably prefer a longer stay at one of the other beaches. I long to be on an ocean-view balcony, or porch, and just feel the breeze coming off the water and nap on a hammock.

When I saw this prompt the first song that came to mind was this one. I don’t know if this is the version I heard back then, but the timing seems right.
