Music Fridays: Thanksgiving Song

Thanksgiving looked very different for many of us this year. I’ve been trying to remember what I did last year though and honestly cannot remember anything about the holiday other than the few days immediately after. That’s when some of the kids were in town and we got the news about the first grandchild that would arrive this year. This year I only saw these same kids (of course they’re not kids any more, all in their thirties now) virtually with baby pictures flying across the country via text messages. I did get to spend it with my kids though; my daughter hosted our small gathering with a delicious turkey and all the sides. All I had to do was show up with a ham (and some bonus brownies). It was a lovely day and I hope yours was lovely and peaceful as well.

This evening I’ll be cuddled up on my couch enjoying a concert by one of my favorites: Mary Chapin Carpenter. She’ll be performing live at Wolf Trap with only a virtual audience. If you’d like to join me this evening you can get your ticket here. And so this week’s musical selected is Mary Chapin’s Thanksgiving Song. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
