I have been nervous and anxious about it for weeks. What if J Brian’s was just being polite by agreeing to hang my photos on their wall? Even after seeing samples? I guess it’s too late (for either of us) to back out now. Last night I gathered my framed prints and headed over after dinner.

We had to wait for the dining room to close so we spent some time in the bar having a drink and figuring out just how much I was going to ask for these prints. Since this was my first time, it wasn’t easy setting prices.

It was fun deciding where each print should go and I have to admit it’s kind of thrilling to see my work up on the wall. Laura, J Brian’s bartender, artist, and art manager (I may have just given her that title) assured me that everyone is going to love my work and everything will sell.

It doesn’t really matter if anything sells. I’m just proud to have my work on display where my family, friends, co-workers, and total strangers will see it, and hopefully like it. So, if you’re in the Fredericksburg, VA area, come on downtown to J Brian’s Tap Room, a place with a great beer selection, delicious burgers, and the best cheese fries and pizza in town. I’m sure you’ll love the place, and I hope you like my work.
